Where to get Global25 coordinates in 2026
Every route, what it really gives you, and which one fits your situation.
Global25 (G25) coordinates are 25 numbers that place a person on a worldwide genetic map. Everything in the amateur ancestry world runs on them: Vahaduo and similar tools, ancient DNA comparisons, and calculators like the 254 on this site. There is no single "official" store, so here is an honest map of the routes.
1. Official coordinates from Davidski
Global25 was created by Davidski, who computes coordinates for individuals with his own pipeline and offers them through g25requests.app. This is the reference-grade option: if you need coordinates you can cite, or you want to settle a fine distinction between two neighbouring populations, this is the one. Check the request page for the current price and turnaround, as they are set by Davidski and can change.
2. Simulated coordinates from your raw file (this site, 2.50 EUR)
Upload the raw DNA file you already have from 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, FamilyTreeDNA, LivingDNA and a few others, and our RAW to G25 service returns a G25 line in minutes, for 2.50 euros. These coordinates are simulated: your genome is projected into the same 25-dimension space from your admixture profile. They are an approximation, very good for exploring, for comparing calculators and for our regional reports, but they will not match an official Davidski result to the last decimal. Best for: people who want to start exploring today without waiting.
3. Free converters
If you already have results from an older admixture calculator, our K36 to G25 tool converts those percentages into approximate G25 coordinates at no cost. It is a useful shortcut, with the same caveat as any simulation. Best for: a quick first look when you already have K36 numbers.
4. Doing it yourself
Technically minded users can run their own genotype file through the published methods. It works, but it takes real setup time and a decent understanding of the file formats, which is why most people pick one of the routes above.
