Meet the founder
I've been writing code for around 25 years, and I've been fascinated by genetics, paleogenetics and science for as long as I can remember. Explore Your DNA is where three things I've always loved meet: genetics, history, and software.
The whole platform, from the calculators to the AI-powered reports, is built on a custom C# / .NET Core stack with SQL Server, and refined over years of work alongside the genetic genealogy community.
Meet our genetic genealogy specialist
Piotr is the specialist behind our DNA Origin Report, and contributes extensively to our population maps, scientific studies and blog articles. He brings deep expertise in bioinformatics and ancient DNA to every report he reviews.
"I graduated with a degree in law from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, however I have experience working in bioinformatics, population genetics and genetic genealogy. For five years (2017–2021) I worked in the Ancestry department of a major European DNA testing company (24Genetics). I've also always been very interested in history and ancient DNA. Explore Your DNA is where I can combine my passions and experience to contribute to the genetic genealogy community."
