How it works: Paste your G25 coordinates below. The tool will find the closest populations from our database of 12,787 ancient and 3,175 modern populations, sourced from Davidski's official Global25 datasheets, then display them in a phylogenetic tree using UPGMA hierarchical clustering.
See the samples behind a group: each ancient population is an average of several individuals. Click an ancient population name, in the tree or in the closest populations list. For the 1,915 groups of Davidski's individual Global25 file, you get the exact list of individuals averaged into the group, each linking to its sample page. For the other groups, the Ancient DNA Samples page opens in a new tab, filtered on that group with its new Group / population label filter (for example /Samples?group=Albania_BA_IA). You can also type any group name in that filter yourself.
