Fascinating to see where my line sat in medieval Europe versus today. The report placed me close to medieval Northern Italian samples and explained the drift toward the modern profile clearly. The interactive map is beautiful.
As an Iranian I was thrilled to see the Ancient Civilizations report trace my line through Iran Neolithic farmers and later empires with real samples. The scholarship is serious and the presentation is gorgeous.
I am from Sicily and the report captured the Greek, North African and mainland Italian layers perfectly. The closest ancient samples were from exactly the periods my family stories mention. I have recommended it to my cousins.
The Ancient Civilizations report is a brilliant piece of work. Seeing how my DNA maps onto Bell Beaker, Corded Ware and the later medieval samples gave me a timeline of my ancestors I never expected from a consumer test. The historical notes are excellent.
Being Igbo, most ancestry sites lump all of West Africa together. The DNA Origin Report actually placed me near the right populations and the explanation was respectful and clear. It took a couple of days but the human touch was obvious. Highly recommend for African customers.
I tested with three different companies and never got real clarity until this report. The two way mixture model finally explained why I always showed up as Tuscan on other tools. Seeing my actual Irish and West German split laid out with the G25 distances was eye opening. Worth every euro.
The map was highlighted in all the regions that my paper trail and surnames reveal. ancestry.com is good. but misses so much! this is accurate for my Distant French and Dutch and Swiss-German lineages. currently Ancestry shows my French as Belgium as well as my Netherlands tossed into Belgium. this Separates these regions perfectly! even some very old small percentage of Czechia that I find an ancestor who was from there. but wasn't sure. good concise report!
I was really disappointed with this report which doesn include the who Amazigh Diaspora at the indigenous level. I felt like this was focused on a bias that was pretty hard to ignore as someone with indigenous Amazigh ancestry and my mother haplo as U6A. Hopefully this will be improved.
I love this report I use it to test out my G25 calculations. It gives me a very close read of where my parents come from. Unfortuntaley, due to Ancestry and 23 and Me not being able to accurately track complex lineages there is mistakes in my base DNA test which creeps into how the algorithms handle my markers. This is outside the remit of Explore my DNA and the tools have really helped me bypass this error I am very pleased ans impressed with this specific report.

I like that the results identify ancestry that it not a part of typical Spanish Caribbean creole stock. The era by era breakdown by Centuries is very informative too. It's a good test as a compliment to what you already know but also can be a great next step if all you know so far is your commercial DNA results. And you get your G25 coordinates for further independent exploration. Overall the test is a good value.

Overall, the Fenghuang Report is great and affordable! I originally hoped it would break down my small percentage of Southern Chinese DNA by dialect group to help me connect with relatives. However, because my breakdown showed up as Vietnamese/Thai (likely due to my 60-80% Thai background and Tai-Kadai/Lao roots from my father), it didn't give me much to go on.I think this report is ideal for full Chinese individuals. That said, Thank you!
Absolutely love this report it’s my favourite one I finally saw my North African markers. I finally saw my ancestory for the Third Intermediate Period of Egypt and saw what I see on my g25
Very happy with my report gave me much information no report will be 100 percent because my parents are different ethnicities and I am mixed
I love your web and free tools, but the paid report is disappointing. The free Ethnicity Guesser works great, and the raw data successfully found my family roots . However, the premium Modern Breakdown got completely distorted due to my unscaled G25 file, wrongly classifying me as 50% Latin American. Worse, the AI narrative totally contradicted my top matches, claiming I fit in Navarra/Aragon (which are at the bottom of my list) and completely ignored my massive South Asian and North Africa.
After new update of population samples, I uploaded two different raw data from different companies. The results in both the modern and old models are inaccurate, especially the modern model, which clearly shows overlap and overfitting between some samples. The AI's explanation of the results is also clearly inaccurate; it treats percentages that aren't actually noise as such and generally is inaccurate my known ancestry which doesn't match my extensive genealogy.
I am 75% Polish and 25% Ukrainian. In my Recent Mode report I've got Poland 64.30% Ukraine 24.10% Slovakia 11.60%. The subregions are also quite accurate. It's one of the best reports I've ever seen!
It's the most accurate report I've ever ordered. I am Polish and also have some Ukrainian roots. In my report I've seen the exact regions, where my ancestors were from, according to my genealogy research. I definitely recommend it!

Did the NORDSEE and legends tests in the space of a couple of days. As an Englishman I was very excited to see Danish/Viking connections pop up. Makes perfect sense really being also a Yorkshireman from Danelaw territory. Very impressed. 5 stars.
The report was completed by Piotr Kapuscinski. I'm very happy with the report, it confirms a lot of family history passed down word-of-mouth through the generations, some of which I wasn't too sure about. Now I am! It also shares the same pattern as my LivingDNA results, which I'm also very happy with, only now with this added support (the DNA Origin Report) I am much more confident passing on to other family members. Fantastic! I love exploreyourdna! I have tested with 23and me, ancestry and livingdna and score. 100% English on ancestry and 23and me and 97% English on livingdna. This report gave me quite a bit of Scottish but estimated my main ethnicity as Danish, which would make sense in an English context. Overall, very happy with this deep dive. Looking forward to more reports being brought out.

Im not surprised about my results and subclade E CTS 9106 under Comgolese Angolan. I still dont understand my result about my Jewish ancestry they said I would fit more into the Ethiopian Jewish. Beta Israel community. My highest would be Somali then Ethiopian Jew. Does that mean I have Jewish ancestry.
I have been using exploreyourdna with very good results previously. Though the last two reports including G25 Mega-Analysis Report are dubious, bad structured, based on assumptions generated by AI that is based on certain basic algorithmic and triangulation. The last reports contradict totally the other previous reports, or are contradictory between themselves (One showing Roma - Gypsy ancestry and the other one suggesting North African). Using Gedmatch contradicts everything in these reports.
it's always updating and fascinating to see it analyze even the most trivial component of the data very empirical analysis, sometimes too precise but often lacks accuracy in generalization HaploAI has improved a lot, especially worth trying!!!
Worked well once I uploaded both kits. It separated my Chinese and Malay sides neatly and explained the method. The upload took a moment to figure out but support helped quickly.
The Second Parent report was exactly what I needed. By adding one parent it pulled apart my results and showed which side my Eastern European share came from. Clear, clever and genuinely useful for my family tree work.
Useful conversion. My simulated G25 was a decent approximation and worked fine in the modeling tools. The note explaining that official Davidski coordinates are more reliable was appreciated and honest.
The Ancient Civilizations report gave my mixed Colombian background real depth, linking the European side to old Iberian samples. Four stars only because I wanted more Native American ancient references, which I know are limited.
A wonderful idea executed well. My ancestry mapped onto medieval Central European populations and then the modern ones, and the shift made sense with what I know of my family. The map and timeline are a lovely touch.

The Medieval and Modern report is something I have not seen anywhere else. Watching my ancestry shift between the medieval reference populations and the modern ones, with the map, made history feel personal. The temporal layers were the highlight for me.
