Download Your MyHeritage DNA Raw Data
Follow these simple steps to download your DNA data from MyHeritage
MyHeritage combines DNA testing with a comprehensive family tree platform. Download your raw DNA data to use with our advanced calculators for deeper ancestry insights.
Log in to Your MyHeritage Account
Go to www.myheritage.com and sign in with your email and password.
Go to the DNA Section
Click on DNA in the top navigation menu. This will take you to your DNA overview page where you can see your ethnicity results and DNA matches.
Access DNA Settings
Click on the three dots menu (⋮) or Manage DNA kits option. Then select your DNA kit if you have multiple kits on your account.
Find Download Raw Data Option
Look for "Download raw DNA data" or go to Settings → Privacy → Download DNA data. You can also access it directly from your DNA kit management page.
Verify Your Identity
MyHeritage will ask you to re-enter your password or send a verification code to your email for security purposes. Complete this verification step.
Download Your File
Once verified, click the download button. You'll receive a CSV file containing your raw
DNA data. The file is typically named MyHeritage_raw_dna_data.csv.
MyHeritage Data Compatibility
MyHeritage uses a modern genotyping chip that provides excellent coverage of ancestry-informative SNPs. Their raw data format is fully compatible with our calculators.
If you uploaded DNA from another service to MyHeritage, you can still download that data, but it will be the same as your original file.
