Fascinating to see where my line sat in medieval Europe versus today. The report placed me close to medieval Northern Italian samples and explained the drift toward the modern profile clearly. The interactive map is beautiful.
Im not surprised about my results and subclade E CTS 9106 under Comgolese Angolan. I still dont understand my result about my Jewish ancestry they said I would fit more into the Ethiopian Jewish. Beta Israel community. My highest would be Somali then Ethiopian Jew. Does that mean I have Jewish ancestry.
A wonderful idea executed well. My ancestry mapped onto medieval Central European populations and then the modern ones, and the shift made sense with what I know of my family. The map and timeline are a lovely touch.
Really enjoyed the medieval breakdown. Seeing my closest medieval and early modern matches side by side was eye opening. I would have liked a few more British Isles reference points but the analysis was solid and the writing was clear.
