Every reference population in our panel uses real, official G25 coordinates (published academic ancient-DNA studies and the official Global25 dataset) — none of our reference data is simulated or synthetic. The reference populations are statistical proxies, not proof of literal descent from any one group. Large, distinct signals (your broad continental ancestry) are reliable, while genetically overlapping populations are harder to separate cleanly, so the fine detail is more of an educated estimate, especially if you are heavily mixed. We tell you this plainly because honesty matters more than a flashy number.
