Read the deep Bronze/Iron-Age models as your overall mix, and the Levantine % and Jewish-community profile as your Jewish fraction. If your Jewish ancestry is very small or uncertain, our Advanced Ancestry Report models your full mix and will still flag a Levantine / Sephardic signal.

🔬 How to read your results (please read)

Your result is computed by genetic similarity (Global25): we place your DNA in a 25-dimension genetic space and find the mixture that best reproduces your profile. The ancient Levantine / Israelite proxies are archaeological populations, the closest available stand-ins for the ancient peoples of the Land of Israel. They are statistical proxies, not proof of literal descent from any one individual or tribe.

This is not a religious or halachic determination of Jewish status, and it is not a proof of being Jewish. Jewish identity is defined by community and tradition, not by a DNA percentage.

The shared Levantine core is detected reliably across all Jewish groups. Fine distinctions between neighbouring host populations (e.g. German vs Polish for Ashkenazim) overlap in G25 and are best-fit estimates. Where a community has limited reference data, we model it on the closest available host populations and say so in the report.

Also for Bnei Anusim: if you descend from forced-converted Sephardic Jews (common in Iberian & Latin American families), the report can surface that Sephardic / Levantine signal even when your family has no known Jewish history.

Can partially Jewish people use this report?

Yes. Even with one Jewish grandparent, the Levantine signal is large and genetically distinct enough to surface clearly. You will get a % Levantine core and a community profile for your Jewish side.
