Ancient Insular Celtic Calculator (by Insular Kev) is a free Global25 ancestry calculator (Calculateur, G25, Scaled). Ancient Insular Celtic Calculator is a free Global25 (G25) ancestry calculator by Insular Kev for British and Irish profiles. It models your DNA with six ancient sources: Iron Age England (Middlesex), Iron Age Ireland (Middletown), Iron Age Scotland (Broxmouth), the Iron Age Celts of north-eastern France, the Late Bronze and Iron Age Netherlands, and continental Anglo-Saxons. It shows how much of your profile resembles the Celtic Britons and Irish of the Iron Age versus the later North Sea Germanic settlers. Paste your scaled G25 coordinates to get your best-fit mix, computed directly in your browser. Its reference panel holds about 6 reference populations, grouped mainly as England Middlesex IA LNB, IRL Middletown IA, SCO Broxmouth IA, DEU MA ACSA (Anglo-Saxon), FRA IA Northeast Celts, NLD LBA IA (Netherlands). The panel was built or amended by Insular Kev.Last updated: October 2026.
People who already have their Global25 (G25) coordinates, for example from a raw DNA file converted with our G25 coordinates service, and want to see how a specific reference panel reads them. Different calculators use different panels, so the same person can get different percentages, and comparing several is more informative than trusting one.
Paste your coordinates, choose a run mode and start the calculation. Each result line is a reference population followed by the share of your ancestry it explains, the shares add up to 100%. Very small shares (below roughly 1 to 2%) are usually noise rather than real ancestry. The distance value tells you how well the mixture reproduces your coordinates: the lower, the better, and a high distance means this panel does not describe you well. For example, a result of "Polish 60 / Ukrainian 25 / Lithuanian 15" means your coordinates are best rebuilt from those three populations in those proportions, not that you descend from three separate groups.
Everything runs in your browser and nothing you paste is uploaded. Browse all Global25 calculators, or let the free Report Finder tell you which regional report fits your ancestry.
